Proposals are invited for the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund 2024. The Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) has launched a Call for Proposals in Iraq to support civil society organizations to implement projects focusing on conflict prevention and crisis planning, as well as supporting local women and young women’s rights organizations through institutional funding.
WPHF seeks to fund qualifying local organizations in Iraq through the following funding streams:
- Programmatic funding: To finance programmatic activities of CSOs aimed at (i) increasing the meaningful participation and decision-making of women in conflict prevention processes and response (in line with WPHF impact area 2), and ii) enhancing the participation and leadership of women in humanitarian crisis planning and response (in line with WPHF impact area 3).
- Institutional funding: To reinforce the institutional capacity of women’s rights and women-led organizations working on the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Iraq to ensure they are able to sustain themselves and to improve their impact.
Funding
- Programmatic funding from $30,000 USD to $200,000 USD
- Institutional funding from $2,500 USD to $30,000 USD
Eligibility
- Open to civil society organizations in Iraq.
- An organisation can apply one time for programmatic funding and/or one time for institutional funding.
- Organisations who apply for both streams need to submit separate applications packages based on the requirements and related templates of each stream.
