Company Description

The Global opportunity Youth Network (GOYN) is a dynamic multi-stakeholder initiative hosted at the Aspen Institute’s Forum for Community Solutions and managed in partnership with Global Development Incubator (GDI). GOYN is dedicated to catalyzing place-based systems changes in communities around the world by creating sustainable economic opportunities for “opportunity Youth” (OY), aged 15-29, who are out of school, unemployed, or underemployed. Since its inception in 2018, GOYN has expanded to sixteen communities across India, Latin America, and Africa, including Thies (Senegal), eThekwini (South Africa), Mombasa (Kenya), and Tanga (Tanzania), collectively representing over four million young people. By 2030, GOYN aims to transform the lives of millions of youth, build robust community-based collaboratives, and foster systemic changes to accelerate youth participation and equity, ultimately contributing to more peaceful and vibrant communities.

In 2024-2025, GOYN will continue its expansion into new African communities.
