Remuneration: The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package, including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $50377, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses, 6 weeks’ annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan, and health insurance.
Organizational Setting:
The Division of Information Technology provides support to the IAEA in information and communication technology (ICT). The Business Technology Coordination Section (BTCS) manages the implementation of the IAEA Business Technology Strategic Plan, coordinates ICT policies, standards, and guidelines, and facilitates ICT governance.
Main Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Chief Data Officer (CDO), the Associate Data Analyst extracts insights from large datasets using statistical and computational techniques. The role involves data analysis, solution architecture, data science, project management, and technical specialization.

– Utilize statistical and computational techniques to extract insights from complex datasets.
– Work closely with data engineers/architects to define data requirements.
– Apply advanced analytical methods, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms.

Required Expertise:
– Extensive experience in IT Data/Systems Analysis.
– Experience in supporting and managing IT Projects using methodologies such as Prince2 and/or PMP.
– Good understanding of Data Architectural concepts.
– Sound knowledge of Information Security and Risk Management.
Qualifications, Experience, and Language skills:
– University degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
– Accredited or Internationally recognized certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP or Prince2).
– Minimum of two years of experience in IT, statistics, data management, analytics, or related field.
– Strong drafting skills in English, with proficiency in other official IAEA languages being an asset.
