IFAD stands for the International Fund for Agricultural Development. It is a specialized agency of the United Nations that focuses on reducing poverty and hunger in rural areas of developing countries. Through the IFAD Enhanced Internship Program, participants will get a chance to learn and gain experience in areas of work relevant to IFAD’s mission. The IFAD Internship is open to enrolled students in an Undergraduate and graduate degree program as well as graduated students can also apply for the IFAD internship.

The duration of the internship is six months. Interns will be recruited in IFAD country offices, regional offices, or multi-country offices. The IFAD Headquarters is in Rome, Italy. To support interns IFAD will provide a Monthly allowance, Travel allowance, and Housing allowance. There is no application fee charged by IFAD at any stage. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • The IFAD Internship is open to all nationals.
  • Enrolled in a Graduate degree program.
  • Students who have graduated from the undergraduate or postgraduate level within the last 12 months can apply.
  • Undergraduate students must have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate studies.
  • Have Good English Communication skills.
  • Be 30 years of age or younger.
