Forbes Sustainability Leaders 2024: Nominations Are Open

Forbes is now accepting nominations for its inaugural Sustainability Leaders list, spotlighting 50 of the most inspiring leaders globally who are driving towards a sustainable future.

Introduction:
The past years have seen significant progress in green technology and policy, yet more needs to be done. The urgency for bold, collaborative action is evident, with recent advancements in science, technology, and policy offering tangible solutions. The Forbes Sustainability Leaders list aims to recognize leaders catalyzing innovative and scalable solutions.

Who We’re Seeking:
We welcome nominations from leaders across industries and disciplines, including startup founders, C-Suite executives, scientists, policymakers, social advocates, investors, storytellers, and artists. Our goal is to highlight diverse voices shaping a sustainable future.

Nomination Guidelines:
1. Impact: Nominees must demonstrate authentic, proven positive impacts without greenwashing.
2. Leadership: We seek proactive risk-takers who implement solutions and pave new paths forward.
3. Innovation: Leaders should challenge existing limits, explore new frontiers, and pioneer unique solutions.
4. Growth: Visionaries must have viable plans and the drive to scale their impact.
5. Recency: Priority is given to recent breakthroughs and significant contributions made in the last few years.
6. Equity: Nominees strive to create solutions benefiting everyone, recognizing the inseparability of environmental sustainability and social justice.

Nomination Process:
– Nominations are open until 11:59pm ET on Friday, June 7, 2024.
– Honorees may be emerging leaders or household names, but all are contemporary change agents.
– Forbes staff initially review candidates, with finalists potentially asked for additional information.
– Panels of industry experts further refine the selection, ultimately compiling the final list presented alphabetically, not ranked.
