Deadline: August 4, 2024

Applications for the D-Prize Global Competition 2024 are now open. They seed new organizations distributing proven poverty solutions, all aiming to scale. D-Prize is looking for entrepreneurs who can design a new nonprofit or social venture that distributes an existing poverty solution to thousands, maybe even millions of people.

They have identified over a dozen products and services known to alleviate poverty. They now challenge entrepreneurs to design ways to distribute to people in need.

Prize

  • D-Prize will award the most promising teams with up to $20,000 USD to launch their new organization wherever extreme poverty exists.

Eligibility

  • D-Prize is for new organizations. Most of their awardees are first-time entrepreneurs. Most have not yet launched their organization, nor have they raised other funding.
  • They especially encourage those from low-and-middle income countries to apply.
  • They will consider applications from existing organizations only if your core focus is distributing an existing and evidence-based poverty intervention.
  • They typically will not support organizations with more than 18 months of full-time operations or that have raised more than $30,000 USD in outside funding.
